After the smashing success of our coffee can upcycle part 1 and part 2, we decided that it’s time for a new one. A Μake up organizer out of coffee cans, to help you store all those cosmetics bursting out of your drawers.
So get your supplies, watch the video and make your own diy Make up organizer out of coffee cans or any kind of can you have.
Materials and tools
- Coffee cans
- Fabric
- Ribbons
- Modge Podge
- Hot glue gun
- Paint brush
- Scissors
- Tape measure
- Pen
Instructions
Measure your coffee cans and cut the fabric to fit them.
Apply a layer of Modge Podge on a coffee can and then wrap the fabric around it.
Place the fabric inch by inch and smooth as you go, by applying a second thin layer of modge podge on top.
Cut 1 or 2 pieces of ribbon to cover the edges at the top and/or the bottom. Let dry.
Place the lid on the back of the fabric and trace it with a pencil. Cut the fabric around the trace.
Apply some modge podge on the inside of your lid, Place the round piece of fabric in the middle and apply a second layer of modge pogde on top, to make it smooth and get rid of air bubbles.
Cut 2 pieces of ribbon to fit the the internal and external rim of the lid and modge podge them to it.
Repeat for the rest of your cans and lids. Let them dry for a couple of hours.
Arrange the cans and their lids in the way that suits you and attach them together using the glue gun.
Your Make up organizer is ready!
