Stuffed grape leaves

Stuffed grape leaves is a dish very common in the Middle East, Balkans, and Turkey. There are numerous variations of this recipe and in this video mom is going to show  you the Greek version  that consists of rice, onion, herbs and olive oil.

Greek Stuffed grape leaves the so called “Ntolamadakia”,  served warm as well as cold, is a traditional delicacy, a wonderful vegetarian appetizer, that you have probably already tasted in some Greek restaurant and I am sure you found absolutely delicious .

For all of you who did tried them and simply adore them and for the rest of you who didn’t had the chance to fall in love with them yet, here is a step by step video tutorial that will help you cook homemade Stuffed grape leaves.

Ingredients

65 vine leaves, fresh or preserved

2 cups of white rice

3,1/2 cups  of spring onions finely chopped

½ cup of onion finely chopped

2 cups of dill finely chopped

1 cup of parsley finely chopped

2-3 fresh mint leaves or 1 tbsp dried ones

1 cup of olive oil

2 glasses of warm water

½ a lemon

Salt and pepper

Tips

If you manage to find fresh wine leaves just wash them, remove the stems and  put them in boiling water for 3 minutes. Drain them, let them cool and they are ready for use.
